Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Kanav, we are committed to ensuring that your handcrafted hair accessories are carefully prepared, securely packed, and dispatched in a timely manner. Please read this Shipping & Delivery Policy carefully before placing your order. By placing an order with Kanav, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy, subject to applicable law.
1. Dispatch Timelines
Standard Orders:
All standard orders are carefully prepared, quality-checked, and packed for dispatch within 3 to 6 business days, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
Customised / Personalised Orders:
As customised and personalised products require additional handcrafting and individual preparation, such orders require 8 to 10 business days for dispatch.
The above timelines refer only to the time required to prepare and dispatch the order from Kanav's facility and do not represent the final delivery timeline.
Peak Periods & Holidays:
During high-volume sales periods, festive seasons, promotional events, or due to unforeseen operational circumstances, dispatch timelines may be extended. Wherever reasonably possible, customers will be informed of significant delays.
2. Transit & Delivery Estimates
Once an order has been dispatched from our facility, the actual transit and delivery timeline depends on the courier partner, delivery destination, and circumstances affecting the shipment.
While Kanav works with logistics providers to facilitate delivery, delivery timelines may vary due to regional holidays, courier delays, remote-location accessibility, weather conditions, strikes, transportation disruptions, incorrect or incomplete delivery information, customer unavailability, or other circumstances beyond Kanav's reasonable control.
Any delivery estimate provided by Kanav or the courier is an estimated timeframe and not a guaranteed delivery date, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Kanav is not responsible for delays, loss of delivery time, or inconvenience caused solely by the courier partner or circumstances beyond Kanav's reasonable control after the shipment has been handed over to the courier, subject to applicable law.
3. Order Tracking
Once your order has been packed and dispatched, tracking details and, where available, a tracking link will be shared via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other communication channels using the contact information provided at checkout.
Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking status and, where required, responding to courier communications, coordinating delivery attempts, and providing any information reasonably requested by the courier.
Kanav may assist with reasonable courier follow-ups where required; however, final delivery is subject to the courier partner's delivery procedures and operational processes.
4. Address Accuracy & Customer Responsibility
Verification Obligation:
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address, including the recipient's name, house/flat number, street, locality, landmark, contact number, city, state, and PIN/postal code before completing the order.
Incorrect or Incomplete Details:
Customers are responsible for reviewing their shipping information before placing an order. Kanav will not be responsible for delays, misrouting, failed delivery attempts, additional shipping charges, or return-to-origin shipments resulting from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate information provided by the customer. Where a delivery issue or additional cost arises due to information provided incorrectly by the customer, the applicable additional shipping, handling, or delivery-related costs may be borne by the customer. This does not apply where the delivery issue is caused by an error attributable to Kanav.
Customer Unavailability:
Customers are responsible for being available to receive the shipment or for coordinating with the courier regarding an alternative delivery attempt where applicable.
5. Return-to-Origin (RTO)
A shipment may be returned to Kanav by the courier where delivery cannot be completed due to circumstances attributable to the customer, including:
- Incorrect or incomplete address or contact information.
- Repeated failed delivery attempts due to customer unavailability.
- Refusal to accept the shipment.
- Failure to respond to courier communications.
- Failure to collect the shipment where collection is required.
- Failure to coordinate with the courier for delivery.
- Any other customer-related circumstance resulting in the shipment being returned to origin.
Where an order is returned to Kanav for such reasons, any applicable re-shipping charges, secondary delivery charges, return handling charges, or other reasonable costs may be borne by the customer before the order is re-dispatched. Re-shipping, where available, will be subject to payment of the applicable charges and confirmation of a valid delivery address. Kanav will not be required to re-dispatch an RTO shipment until the applicable additional charges, where applicable, have been paid and the delivery details have been confirmed.
6. Order Modification & Cancellation Restrictions
Once an order has been successfully placed, processing, production, inventory allocation, and packaging arrangements may begin immediately. Accordingly, order cancellations, modifications, additions, product changes, variant changes, address changes, or changes to customised specifications may generally not be accommodated once processing has commenced.
For customised or personalised orders, cancellations or modifications may not be possible once production or preparation has started.
If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact Kanav as soon as possible after placing the order. Any request will be considered based on the processing status of the order and will require confirmation from Kanav. A request to change or cancel an order is not considered accepted unless Kanav expressly confirms the change or cancellation. If an order has already entered production, preparation, packaging, or dispatch, Kanav may be unable to accommodate the requested change or cancellation.
7. Package Inspection Upon Delivery
Transit Damage Check:
If the outer shipping package is visibly crushed, torn, punctured, tampered with, wet, or leaking upon delivery, customers are advised to photograph the outer packaging before opening it and, where possible, bring the condition to the attention of the courier delivery agent.
Unboxing Protocol:
We strongly recommend recording a continuous unboxing video beginning with the sealed package and clearly showing the shipping label, opening of the package, packaging contents, and product immediately after opening. An unboxing video can provide valuable evidence when investigating claims relating to transit damage, missing items, or incorrect products. Customers should retain the original packaging, shipping label, and relevant packing materials until any delivery-related issue has been reviewed and resolved.
8. Delivery Confirmation & Non-Receipt
A shipment will ordinarily be considered delivered when the courier partner's tracking system records the shipment as successfully delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout or to an authorised recipient at that address.
If the tracking status shows “Delivered” but the customer states that the package has not been received, the customer should contact Kanav promptly so that the matter can be reviewed and, where reasonably possible, raised with the courier partner. Kanav may request relevant information, delivery details, confirmation from persons at the delivery address, or other reasonable cooperation from the customer to assist with the investigation. Where a courier investigation is required, resolution may depend on the outcome and information provided by the courier partner.
9. Delays Beyond Kanav's Reasonable Control
Kanav shall not be responsible for delays or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, civil disturbances, courier network disruptions, public emergencies, or other force majeure events. Where such circumstances affect an order, Kanav will make reasonable efforts to assist with the shipment and provide relevant updates where available. Such circumstances may result in extended dispatch or delivery timelines, and estimated delivery dates may consequently change.
10. Customer Cooperation
Customers are expected to provide accurate information and reasonable cooperation where required for successful delivery, including responding to courier communications, confirming delivery details, and being available to receive the shipment. Any delay, failed delivery, or additional cost resulting from a customer's failure to provide required information or cooperation may be treated as a customer-caused delivery issue.
11. Delivery of Orders to Third Parties
Where a customer provides the details of another person, family member, security personnel, building staff, office reception, or other authorised recipient for delivery, delivery to such person at the designated delivery address may be treated as delivery to the customer. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery recipient is authorised to receive the package on their behalf.
12. Policy & Applicable Law
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through Kanav's website and other applicable sales channels. Kanav reserves the right to verify delivery-related claims, request reasonable supporting information, and investigate issues with the relevant courier partner before determining the appropriate resolution. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
